DHANTERAS :

The first day of Diwali is called Dhanteras (Dhanvantari Triodos), and it marks the official beginning of the Diwali festivities. This day has great significance in many parts of India; people consider this as a very auspicious day and Muhurat.
The thirteenth lunar day of the Krishna Paksha (as per the Hindu Calendar), the dark fortnight of the month of Karthik, Dhan Teras is a special day. On this day, Lord Dhanwantari is believed to have come out of the ocean with Ayurveda, the science of medicine, for the benefit of mankind. A huge amount of buying, specifically gold, silver, and precious stones, ornaments, new clothes, and utensils, takes place is done on this day. In the evening, children light crackers, and people also light some earthen lamps outside their homes. In some parts of India, like Gujarat, this day is religiously held even more important than the actual Deepawali day, and people hold Lakshmi, Kuber (the Hindu God of riches), and Ganesha Pooja on this day. It has many stories associated with it.

1.THE YAMA LEGEND:

An ancient legend ascribes the occasion to an interesting story about the 16-year-old son of King Hima. His horoscope predicted his death by snake-bite on the fourth day of his marriage. On that particular day, his newly-wed wife did not allow him to sleep. She laid out all her ornaments and lots of gold and silver coins in a heap at the entrance of the sleeping chamber and lit lamps all over the place. Then she narrated stories and sang songs to keep her husband from falling asleep...The next day, when Yama, the God of Death, arrived at the prince’s doorstep, his eyes were dazzled and blinded by the brilliance of the lamps and the jewelry. Yama could not enter the Prince's chamber, so he climbed on top of the heap of gold coins and sat there the entire night listening to the stories and songs. In the morning, he silently went away. Thus, the young prince was saved from the clutches of death by the cleverness of his new bride, and the day came to be celebrated as Dhanteras

2. THE DHANVATRI LEGEND:
Another legend says, in the cosmic battle between the gods and the demons when both churned the ocean for ‘Amrit’ or divine nectar, Dhanvantari – the physician of the gods and an incarnation of Vishnu – emerged carrying a pot of the elixir. So, according to this mythological tale, the word Dhanteras comes from the name Dhanvantari, the divine doctor, who is also worshipped on this day.

3. THE DHANTERAS RITUAL:
On Dhanteras, people pray to the Goddess Lakshmi to get prosperous life and well being. In the evening, the lamp is lit and Goddess of wealth (Lakshmi) is welcomed into the house. Aartis or devotional hymns are sung eulogizing the Goddess of wealth and sweets and fruits are offered to her. Hindus also worship Lord Kuber as the treasurer of wealth and bestower of riches, along with Goddess Lakshmi on Dhanteras

4. Dhanteras RITUAL II:

Generally, most of the Hindus chose Dhanteras to invest in gold bars or jewelry. New clothes and utensils are also bought on this auspicious occasion. People flock to the jewelers and buy gold or silver jewelry or utensils to venerate the occasion of Dhanteras. Dhanteras embraces a unique worth for the business communities as they make customary purchases of the valuable metals on this day.

NARAK CHATURDASI:

The second day of Diwali week is called the Kali Chaudas or Narak Chaturdasi. In some parts of India, it is simply the Choti Diwali, the day before Diwali. On this day Lord Krishna is known to have destroyed the demon Narakasur, freeing the world from fear. On this day, it is believed that one should massage the body with oil to relieve it of tiredness bathe and rest so that Diwali can be celebrated with vigor and devotion. It is also believed that one should not light diyas or step out on this day, and rather stay at home and relax. However, IN modern times, on Choti Deepawali, people go to each other's homes to wish 'a Happy and Prosperous Diwali' and also exchange gifts and sweets.
DIWALI:
The third day of these festivities is the actual Diwali/ Deepawali, when Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped, along with Lord Ganesha. People light diyas and candles in their homes, and the streets all across India light up with millions of sparklers, crackers, and fairy lights. After worshipping Mahalakshmi in the evening with their families, people visit temples, gurudwaras, and even churches to light candles. They also exchange sweets as prasad.

BESTU BARAS:

The fourth day is celebrated in various forms all across India. In the Western states of India like Gujarat, this day is celebrated with great pomp and show as Bestu Baras, the New Year as per their Calendar. In the Northern states of India, this day is widely celebrated as Govardhan Pooja or Annakut and Vishwakarma Day, when people worship their instruments, arms, and machinery. Most of all business establishments, thus, remain closed on this day.

BHAI DOOJ:
The fifth day of Diwali festivities is celebrated as the Bhai Dooj or Bhai Beej or Bhai Teeka/ Tilak or Bhai Fota (In Bengal). Brothers visit their sisters on this day, and the sisters celebrate and prepare sweets especially in honor of their brothers, wishing a long, happy, healthy life and great success for them.

Friends I am not like others so just wish you happy and prosperous Diwali.BYE!

       HAPPY FESTIVE SEASON INDIA !

HI FRIENDS!India is celebrating the festive season of Janamashtami, Muhharam, Teej, Ganesh Chaturthi and many more festivals.Janmashtami will be celebrated this Monday on 3/9/2018.Thistime in our school 'ANAND VIDYA VIHAR' we the girls of classes 7 & 8 who do Bharatnatyam did dance. So do you want to know about Janmashtami. So lets explore about this festival.

Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It is observed according to Hindu luni-solar calendar, on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Shrawana of the lunar Hindu Calendar and Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Bhadrapad of the lunisolar Hindu Calendar, which overlaps with August and September of the Gregorian calendar.

It is an important festival particularly to the Vaishnavism tradition of Hinduism. Dance-drama enactments of the life of Krishna according to the Bhagavata Purana (such as Rasa lila or Krishna Lila), devotional singing through the midnight when Krishna is believed to have been born, fasting (upavasa), a night vigil (jagarana), and a festival (mahotsava) on the following day are a part of the Janmashtami celebrations. It is celebrated particularly in Mathura and Brindavan, along with major Vaishnava and non-sectarian communities found in Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and other regions.

It is believed Shri Krishna lived 5,000 years ago.

Fifa World Cup

                                        FIFA WORLD CUP 2018

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is the 21st FIFA World Cup, an international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA once every four years. It is currently ongoing in Russia starting from 14 June and will end with the final match on 15 July 2018.
This is the first World Cup to be held in Eastern Europe, and the eleventh time that it has been held in Europe. For the first time the tournament takes place on two continents – Europe and Asia. All but two of the stadium venues are in European Russia. At an estimated cost of over $14.2 billion, it is the most expensive World Cup ever. This is also the first World Cup to use video assistant referees (VARs).

The final tournament involves 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competitions and the automatically qualified host team. Of the 32 teams, 20 made back-to-back appearances following the last tournament in 2014, while both Iceland and Panama made their first appearances at a FIFA World Cup. A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities. The final will take place on 15 July at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War. The current champion is Germany, which won its fourth title at the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
The current format of the competition involves a qualification phase, which currently takes place over the preceding three years, to determine which teams qualify for the tournament phase, which is often called the World Cup Finals. After this, 32 teams, including the automatically qualifying host nation(s), compete in the tournament phase for the title at venues within the host nation(s) over a period of about a month.
The 20 World Cup tournaments have been won by eight national teams. Brazil have won five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Germany and Italy, with four titles each; Argentina and inaugural winner Uruguay, with two titles each; and EnglandFrance, and Spain, with one title each.
The World Cup is the most prestigious association football tournament in the world, as well as the most widely viewed and followed sporting event in the world, exceeding even the Olympic Games; the cumulative audience of all matches of the 2006 World Cup was estimated to be 26.29 billion with an estimated 715.1 million people watching the final match, a ninth of the entire population of the planet.

17 countries have hosted the World Cup. Brazil, France, Italy, Germany and Mexico have each hosted twice, while Uruguay, Switzerland, Sweden, Chile, England, Argentina, Spain, the United States, Japan and South Korea (jointly), South Africa and Russia have each hosted once. Qatar are planned as hosts of the 2022 finals, and 2026 will be a joint hosted finals between Canada, the United States and Mexico, which will give Mexico the distinction of being the first country to have hosted games in three different finals.

And friends not miss 15-7-18's final match of Croatia and France. And -

                       HISTORIC TIMES

HI FRIENDS!This is new times of India's edition.Recently India's runner Hima Das won a race in global platform and made our country proud. Now last time I wrote a blog of travelling through time I have some news related to each other.Recently, historians found fossils of marine life.Is it not i
interesting? It is found in Gold city-Jaisalmer, a city of Rajasthan.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Palaeontologists have found 47 million-year-old marine fossils in the deserts of Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district, , which experts said suggest that the area was under sea in pre-historic times.
The western region of Geological Survey of India (GSI) had been conducting research on fossils in different parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan for over a year.
A number of fossils of vertebrates such as whales, shark teeth, crocodilian teeth and bones of turtles from the middle Eocene Age were unearthed from Bandah village in Jaisalmer. The research was carried out by senior geologists Krishna Kumar and Pragya Pandey under the supervision of Debasish Bhattacharya, the director of Palaeontology Division.
Kumar said the most important find was a fragmented jaw and vertebrae, which have been identified as that of a primitive whale.
The presence of the marine fossils of the Middle Eocene period indicates that about 47 million years ago, there was a sea in this area, he said, adding that faunal record shows similarity with earlier reported fauna of middle Eocene Harudi formation, Kachhch Basin and Gujarat, thus representing similar shallow marine depositions under tropical-temperate conditions.
The Eocene Epoch constitutes the middle part of the Paleogene period (65-23 million years ago), preceded by the Paleocene and succeeded by the Oligocene epoch (34-23 million years ago); all of these periods and epochs were part of the Cenozoic Era (65 million years ago).

Frinds by ending other news is that our India's laughter show or also the oldest serial Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma 's Dr.Hathi died recently due to drinking. So friends drinking can be injurious to health and finally-

                             TRAVELING THROUGH TIME
HI EVERYONE!So now my summer camp is over.Yesterday I came through [THE WEEK] magazine of 2017 June.Today I saw the website of NASA so actually I like to collect information of our peculiar universe. Some of my studies are-

🍀 HADEAN EON-

The HADEAN EON began when the earth had started to just form.It was the time nearly 4.5 billion years ago.At first there was just a cloud of gas & dust, and then the sun formed, and gradually the plants formed.

🎀 ARCHEAN EON-
The ARCHEAN EON was the time when the earth's crust cooled enough to allow tectonic shifts. The Archean Eon began about 4 billion years ago with the formation of Earth's crust and extended to the start of the Proterozoic Eon 2.5 billion years ago; the latter is the second formal division of Precambrian time.

🍀 CENOZOIC EON-

The Cenozoic Era is the current geological era, covering the period from 66 million years ago to the present day. The Cenozoic is also known as the Age of Mammals, because of the large mammals that dominate it.

🎀  PROTEROZOIC EON-

The Proterozoic is a geological eon representing the time just before the proliferation of complex life on Earth.

 🍀 PHANEROZOIC EON-

The Phanerozoic Eon is the current geologic eon in the geologic time scale, and the one during which abundant animal and plant life has existed. It covers 541 million years to the present, and began with the Cambrian Period. It is divided in three parts-

1] Paleozoic eon- Cambrian,Ordovician,Silurian,Devonian,Carboniferous,Permian.

2] Mesozoic eon- Triassic,Jurassic,Cretaceous.

3] Cenozoic eon- Paleogene,Neogene,Quaternary.

A] PALEOZOIC-

1) CAMBRIAN-

First shell-fish,primitive fish, corals. The only modern phylum with an adequate fossil record to appear after the Cambrian was the phylum Bryozoa, which is not known before the early Ordovician. A few mineralized animal fossils, including sponge spicules and probable worm tubes, are known from the Ediacaran Period immediately preceding the Cambrian.

2) ORDOVICIAN-

The Ordovician is best known for its diverse marine invertebrates, including graptolites, trilobites, brachiopods, and the conodonts (early vertebrates). A typical marine community consisted of theseanimals, plus red and green algae, primitive fish, cephalopods, corals, crinoids, and gastropods.
3) SILURIAN-

The Much Wenlock Limestone Formation of Wales and the Welsh Borderland contains a diverse fauna of well over 600 species (mainly crinoids, corals, brachiopods, trilobites, algae and bryozoans) deposited during the early Silurian when this area was covered by a relatively warm, shallow shelf sea.

4) DEVONIAN-

This was the period in which animals like amphibians, sharks, bony fish, spiders originated. The first tetrapods — land-living vertebrates — appeared during the Devonian, as did the first terrestrial arthropods, including wingless insects and
the earliest arachnids. In the oceans, brachiopods flourished. Crinoids and other
echinoderms, tabulate and rugose corals, and ammonites were also common.

5) CARBONIFEROUS-

The Carboniferous is a geologic period and system that spans 60 million years from the end of the Devonian Period 358.9 million years ago, to the beginning of the Permian Period, 298.9 Mya. Abundant coal swamps, reptiles, winged insects.

6) PERMIAN-

During the Permian, there were many animals, including Edaphosaurus, Dimetrodon, and other pelycosaurs; Eryops, Diplocaulus, archosaurs, amphibians, fish, and lots of invertebrates (like insects, worms, etc.). An extinct, sail-backed, meat-eating animal from the Permian period (pre-dating the dinosaurs).

B] MESOZOIC-

1) TRIASSIC-

The Mesozoic Era is often known as the Age of Reptiles. Two groups of animals survived the Permian Extinction: Therapsids, which were mammal-like reptiles, and the more reptilian Archosaurs. In the earlyTriassic, it appeared that the Therapsids would dominate the new era.
2) JURASSIC-
During this period, vegetation was greener and more lush. By Late Jurassic, huge dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Allosaurus walked the lands. Flying reptiles ruled the skies. The earliest known birds also appeared. This was also the era on which there are almost 4 to 6 movies.I think the best of them all are Jurassic world.Recently a series of it is also released. Also in that movie ours bollywood actor Irrfan Khan gave his debue as Simon Masrani.
3) CRETACEOUS-
The Cretaceous  is a geologic period and system that spans 79 million years from the end of the Jurassic Period 145 million years ago  to the beginning of the Paleogene Period 66 MYA. It is the last period of the Mesozoic Era.

C] CENOZOIC-

1) PALEOGENE-

The Paleogene is a geologic period and system that spans 43 million years from the end of the Cretaceous Period 66 million years ago to the beginning of the Neogene Period 23.03 Mya.At the dawn of the Paleogene—the beginning of the Cenozoic era—dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and giant marine reptiles were conspicuously absent from the face of the Earth. Rodent-size (and perhaps larger) mammals emerged, suddenly free to fill the void. Over the next 42 million years, they grew in size, number, and diversity. As the period came to a close, life-forms still common today filled the seas, dominated the land, and had taken to the air.

2) NEOGENE-

The Neogene  (informally Upper Tertiary or Late Tertiary) is a geologic period and system that spans 20.45 million years from the end of the Paleogene Period 23.03 million years ago (Mya) to the beginning of the present Quaternary Period 2.58 Mya.
3) QUATERNARY-
Quaternary. ... The Quaternary Period is divided into two epochs: the Pleistocene (2.588 million years ago to 11.7 thousand years ago) and the Holocene (11.7 thousand years ago to today). The informal term "Late Quaternary" refers to the past 0.5–1.0 million years.
